I have the hardest time trying to pay online that i gave up trying. this is by far the worst company to pay online , and yet have so many websites. I had to go to my bank and set up your address and zip code to transfer the payment. Now i must tell you that next month will probably be the last payment i can afford to pay seeing that my wife and i am out of work at the moment. She fell on her job and broke her tibial plateau bone in her knee, and cannot even place her foot on the floor for at least 3 months while on walker. I hope my insurance can kick in for me after April. More...

  • CFNA credit card

I was in desperate need of car service and saw in a local paper about Firestone offering credit through CFNA so I decided to apply and was given a $800 credit limit. This was back on June 26, 2012 and I have yet to receive my card or any sort of information so I can access my account online. I am trying to rebuild my credit and do not need this sort of stumpling block in my path. I wish that I had done reviews before applying because it would have saved me the trouble. Now I am stuck wondering how this is going to play out for me. More...

  • Call to talk to a real person

I tried to make a payment on Aug 10th, which is the day my payment is due. I always pay more than the minimum balance. I tried to set the payment date as Aug. 10th but the system would not allow same day payments. I tried to make the payment over the phone but the only options that were offered were: Billing address, previous payment and current payment due. So I set the online payment for Aug 11th, CFNA's payment was not drafted until the 15th. I was charged a $19.00 late fee. I called several times, throughout the day and was unable to reach a customer service rep. A guy at my... More...

  • Late fee charged on zero balance

I've fought tooth and nail with this company for at least the past two years. Originally got the credit card because I needed to cover an $800 repair (which I, foolishly, could have gotten cheaper eslewhere), and had no other disposable funds. I had other massive expenses come up which prevented me from paying it off within the 6 month trial period. Okay, I'll grant that, the interest thereafter was warranted to a degree, but the rate is outrageous. Regardless, I made payments when I could until the balance was gone. As of 5/17 I had finally paid it down to zero, and the card... More...

  • credit report

I was automatically switched to paperless billing. I did not notice that I was not receiving paper bills right away. When I contacted them to ask where was my bill they informed me that I went paperless. They reported me as a slow pay to the credit bureou without any attempt to contact me. I had a very good credit rating until then. My bank manager cannot believe their practice of not contacting a customer if there was a problem after a change in billing. I wrote to them and have yet to receive a reply. I will never recommend this company and am thinking law suite. More...

Like with many who have made complaints... I have a new one... the other day I came into Firestone to have tire replaced and paid my payment using my precious firestone card... I knew I had more than enough to cover my bill but OH NO... CFNA DECIDED TO CHANGE MY CREDIT AND FORGOT TO TELL ME THAT MY LIMIT HAS CHANGED AND SO I WAS FORCED TO COME UP WITH AN ALTERNATIVE PAYMENT WITH NO CASH AND THE POSSIBILITY OF THE LOCAL AUTHORITIES BEING CALLED... LUCKILY MY MOMMY BAILED ME OUT... I HAVE SO MUCH CONTEMPT AND HATRED FOR THIS COMPANY AND WHAT MADE IT WORSE WAS WHEN I CONTACTED CUSTOMER SERVICE... More...

  • Cash only payments

I paid my CFNA payment in cash (the only way the Firestone store accepts it) 2 days before the due date and was still hit with late charges. I could understand if it was a payment by check, but once Cash has been paid and a receipt issued showing the date 2 days before it's actually due there's no way a customer should be hit with a late charge!!! Who's playing with all this money customers are paying towards their credit card during the time a cash payment is made and actually credited. I can't believe CFNA can't upload payments received at Firestone stores daily. More...

  • New Cardholder Blues

I paid my first bill online before the due date, as it was made clear that the "interest free" period still requires a payment. Two weeks later and no debit from my account, I decided to call customer no-service and the automated system said that my payment was late. I went into eternal hold. Went to the website and was unable to log into my account that I had previously made a payment on. THEN, after all this, I decide to Google them and wound up here. This website confirmed my suspicion that CFNA are crooks who can't wait to hit you with all kinds of interest and late... More...

This squeeky wheel is not getting the grease. Sure, I can do all this on line.. but I have to wait and then its as if I don't care. Well I care... and I hate that you keep waisting my time and I can find no one to talk to.I got a fiance charge and all I did was try FOREVER TO MAKE A PAYMENT JUST AS I ALWAYS HAVE.. I have tried multiple times to get to the system to pay my bill. No luck. I have done it many time before, but now I have been cut off by the machine many many many many many many many many many many...did I mention MANY times? It kept saying it didn't understand me and in the end could not take my payent over the phone. Now pay using a rep, they say I have to pay a fee. Waiting on line is more than 20 minutes. Your joking right? My schedule is tight enough let alone having to sit around for an operator. Now I have a late fee, but I refuse to sit on hold forever to try and get the late... More...

  • Late Fees

I have paid my due dates on time and yet I still get charged a high interest and late fees. I'm not someone that makes a whole lot of money but a consumer that is trying to make ends meet and If i keep getting the late fees added on to my statement every month, than I might as well had purchased 4 more extra tires. I tried working with financial services and apparently never really tried to help in anyway. More...

I have never pay my bills late..... since last month, this credit card company has charged me late fee claiming my payment reached them 1 day late. i use online payment with my bank for all my payments and never had a issue.... according to my bank records, they paid on time, they even gave me the time that the payment reached CFNA. but CFNA still claims that it was late, i don't know base on what? they are penalizing consumers for the time it takes for them to process the payment even if the payment reached them on due date. this is the 2nd time it happened and now they refused to... Firestone should consider their 90 days same as cash for better promotions to customers when charges are higher. they know after 90 days customers cannot meet the promotions and the deferred charges are so stressful to customers and these deferred charges are so high also. change to better promotion to customers all i can say. if the amount charges on the credit card is small, 90 days same as cash is acceptable. but if charges are higher and even customers make higher payments 90 days are not enough or acceptable. your interest rate is ridiculous! • CFNA Firestone Credit

We needed tires so we went for the deal they had at Firestone while the car was there Firestone decided we needed Ty rods they offered us a credit card that would give us thirty days same as cash better known as the cfna card. The first problem came in when we paid our bill at the Firestone and did not realize that if you pay at Firestone and we were charged a late fee plus removed from the 90 days same as cash because if you pay at the store then it takes 3days to process the payment. We called the company and she offered no explanation she just said she would remove the late fee but we... More...

  • Horrible Customer Service

Just about all credit card companies are horrible to deal with, but CFNA takes the cake. I went to my local Firestone to get new tires planning to pay cash. The local manager gave me some sob story about needing to make quota for new credit lines and reeled me in with the 90 days sames as cash song and dance. I applied and got the credit card. I paid it off with no problems. I go again a few months later to get them rotated. The total bill was $42 and he just put it on my account. It would have been due 10/15, so I filed it away. Fast-forward to this week and I get a credit alert... More...

  • CFNA Credit does not report credit limits.

I strongly suggest that anybody who wants to improve their credit score NOT get a CFNA credit card. I know they are the credit company who provides cards for Firestone and Plaza Tire Service. I would guess there are other companies as well. Before applying for a card please make sure you ask if it is CFNA. The problem is this -- they do not report credit limits to the bureaus. They report your current balance to all three bureaus, but report no limit. An essential part of raising your credit score is having a favorable debt to credit ratio. This ranges anywhere from 20%-35% depending on... More...

This is the worst experience I have ever had with a company. I have been dealing with this for almost a whole year now. Let me start from the beginning. June 3, 2012 I made a payment on my account as I do on the 3rd if every month. I have had my card with cfna for years and years. I had a 1600 credit limit and my balance was less than half of that. Ok so I make my payment online a couple days later I get a notice from my bank saying I have some returned payments on my account. I immediately call the bank and after a little research we find out that all the payments I made from my bank account that week had been returned. Now mind u the money is still in my account. So we find out it was a bank error. I get a signed statement from my bank admitting it was their error and I submit that to cfna. They credited back the returned check fee but told me since there was a returned payment on my account they decreased my credit limit to 800. Are u kidding me??? I asked to speak with a supervisor and explained to them they have the proof in front of them that this was no fault of mine and I shouldn't be penalized. They acted like they could have cared less. I told them I wanted a number to their corporate office. They gave me a number I called and it does not allow u to speak with a live person u have to leave a message. Wow corporate headquarters and u have to leave a message. Well today's date is 05/17/2013 and I have yet to receive a call back from their corporate office. Mind u, I started calling in June of 2012 almost a year ago. For the first couple of months I called once a week and left long detailed messages for them. After that I started calling once a month. So needless to say I have called and left around 20-25 messages and I have never received a call back. Talk about horrible customer service. It's funny because I work in the corporate office for a major cable Internet and phone company. There is no way we would ever treat our customers this way. It's sad that I cannot even talk to anyone to make my complaint about this issue. I am totally shocked in the way that I am being treated and by reading all of these horrible comments and complaints about cfna, I can see I am not the only one. I am surprised this company is still in business with the way they treat their long time customers. I have a good mind to just stop paying on my credit card all together and just take the negative status on my credit report. This is so frustrating. I can't even find an email or anything to make my complaint. I hope to goodness someone from cfna reads this and contacts me because I'm not going to deal with it much longer at all.

Crappy crappy comapny!! I was charged $25.00 for a late fee, even tho I PAID IT ON TIME! My bank statement shows the pmt taken out on Dec 17... The next statement from CFNA doesn't even show that I paid anything! I tried SEVERAL times to call, however the stupid phone prompts could never get me to the right dept., and couldn't determine from saying "yes" or "no". VERY frustrating! So, I just hung up. I truly think this is their tactic, so people WILL hang up.
SOMETHING HAS TO BE DONE ABOUT THIS COMPANY! Every review that I read is negative. Who can we contact?

Regardless of how well you manage your account by making on time payments, they can and will lower your credit limit. I definitely don't recommend the firestone credit card issued by cfna..or any other card issued by them for that matter.

Your telephone service is HORRIBLE to wait 19 minutes to get to a representative is unacceptable. I can'[t get a simple question answered.
