  • Credit Card Services

This is the worst customer service I have ever experienced, and I work in customer service. Customer service agents have the worst attitude and tone. Very unhelpful, unwilling to try and explain any questions. I made a payment on a promotional balance, did not check the right date, the amount hit my bank too early, was sent back. I promptly noticed what happened, sent another smaller minimum payment. The first payment that did not go through was recharged and is gaining interest instead of going back on the promotional balance, even though I still made a minimum payment before the due... More...

  • CFNA credit card

I was in desperate need of car service and saw in a local paper about Firestone offering credit through CFNA so I decided to apply and was given a $800 credit limit. This was back on June 26, 2012 and I have yet to receive my card or any sort of information so I can access my account online. I am trying to rebuild my credit and do not need this sort of stumpling block in my path. I wish that I had done reviews before applying because it would have saved me the trouble. Now I am stuck wondering how this is going to play out for me. More...

  • Call to talk to a real person

I tried to make a payment on Aug 10th, which is the day my payment is due. I always pay more than the minimum balance. I tried to set the payment date as Aug. 10th but the system would not allow same day payments. I tried to make the payment over the phone but the only options that were offered were: Billing address, previous payment and current payment due. So I set the online payment for Aug 11th, CFNA's payment was not drafted until the 15th. I was charged a $19.00 late fee. I called several times, throughout the day and was unable to reach a customer service rep. A guy at my... More...

  • Late fee charged on zero balance

I've fought tooth and nail with this company for at least the past two years. Originally got the credit card because I needed to cover an $800 repair (which I, foolishly, could have gotten cheaper eslewhere), and had no other disposable funds. I had other massive expenses come up which prevented me from paying it off within the 6 month trial period. Okay, I'll grant that, the interest thereafter was warranted to a degree, but the rate is outrageous. Regardless, I made payments when I could until the balance was gone. As of 5/17 I had finally paid it down to zero, and the card... More...

  • credit report

I was automatically switched to paperless billing. I did not notice that I was not receiving paper bills right away. When I contacted them to ask where was my bill they informed me that I went paperless. They reported me as a slow pay to the credit bureou without any attempt to contact me. I had a very good credit rating until then. My bank manager cannot believe their practice of not contacting a customer if there was a problem after a change in billing. I wrote to them and have yet to receive a reply. I will never recommend this company and am thinking law suite. More...

  • crappy service

Like with many who have made complaints... I have a new one... the other day I came into Firestone to have tire replaced and paid my payment using my precious firestone card... I knew I had more than enough to cover my bill but OH NO... CFNA DECIDED TO CHANGE MY CREDIT AND FORGOT TO TELL ME THAT MY LIMIT HAS CHANGED AND SO I WAS FORCED TO COME UP WITH AN ALTERNATIVE PAYMENT WITH NO CASH AND THE POSSIBILITY OF THE LOCAL AUTHORITIES BEING CALLED... LUCKILY MY MOMMY BAILED ME OUT... I HAVE SO MUCH CONTEMPT AND HATRED FOR THIS COMPANY AND WHAT MADE IT WORSE WAS WHEN I CONTACTED CUSTOMER SERVICE... More...

  • Cash only payments

I paid my CFNA payment in cash (the only way the Firestone store accepts it) 2 days before the due date and was still hit with late charges. I could understand if it was a payment by check, but once Cash has been paid and a receipt issued showing the date 2 days before it's actually due there's no way a customer should be hit with a late charge!!! Who's playing with all this money customers are paying towards their credit card during the time a cash payment is made and actually credited. I can't believe CFNA can't upload payments received at Firestone stores daily. More...

  • New Cardholder Blues

I paid my first bill online before the due date, as it was made clear that the "interest free" period still requires a payment. Two weeks later and no debit from my account, I decided to call customer no-service and the automated system said that my payment was late. I went into eternal hold. Went to the website and was unable to log into my account that I had previously made a payment on. THEN, after all this, I decide to Google them and wound up here. This website confirmed my suspicion that CFNA are crooks who can't wait to hit you with all kinds of interest and late... More...

  • Nobody is home....

I have tried multiple times to get to the system to pay my bill. No luck. I have done it many time before, but now I have been cut off by the machine many many many many many many many many many many...did I mention MANY times? It kept saying it didn't understand me and in the end could not take my payent over the phone. Now pay using a rep, they say I have to pay a fee. Waiting on line is more than 20 minutes. Your joking right? My schedule is tight enough let alone having to sit around for an operator. Now I have a late fee, but I refuse to sit on hold forever to try and get the late... More...

  • Charge

I have never pay my bills late..... since last month, this credit card company has charged me late fee claiming my payment reached them 1 day late. i use online payment with my bank for all my payments and never had a issue.... according to my bank records, they paid on time, they even gave me the time that the payment reached CFNA. but CFNA still claims that it was late, i don't know base on what? they are penalizing consumers for the time it takes for them to process the payment even if the payment reached them on due date. this is the 2nd time it happened and now they refused to... • finance charges

Firestone should consider their 90 days same as cash for better promotions to customers when charges are higher. they know after 90 days customers cannot meet the promotions and the deferred charges are so stressful to customers and these deferred charges are so high also. change to better promotion to customers all i can say. if the amount charges on the credit card is small, 90 days same as cash is acceptable. but if charges are higher and even customers make higher payments 90 days are not enough or acceptable. your interest rate is ridiculous! • A change of tires changed my life and mind.

We needed tires so we went for the deal they had at Firestone while the car was there Firestone decided we needed Ty rods they offered us a credit card that would give us thirty days same as cash better known as the cfna card. The first problem came in when we paid our bill at the Firestone and did not realize that if you pay at Firestone and we were charged a late fee plus removed from the 90 days same as cash because if you pay at the store then it takes 3days to process the payment. We called the company and she offered no explanation she just said she would remove the late fee but we... More...

  • Horrible Customer Service

Just about all credit card companies are horrible to deal with, but CFNA takes the cake. I went to my local Firestone to get new tires planning to pay cash. The local manager gave me some sob story about needing to make quota for new credit lines and reeled me in with the 90 days sames as cash song and dance. I applied and got the credit card. I paid it off with no problems. I go again a few months later to get them rotated. The total bill was $42 and he just put it on my account. It would have been due 10/15, so I filed it away. Fast-forward to this week and I get a credit alert... More...

  • CFNA Credit does not report credit limits.

I strongly suggest that anybody who wants to improve their credit score NOT get a CFNA credit card. I know they are the credit company who provides cards for Firestone and Plaza Tire Service. I would guess there are other companies as well. Before applying for a card please make sure you ask if it is CFNA. The problem is this -- they do not report credit limits to the bureaus. They report your current balance to all three bureaus, but report no limit. An essential part of raising your credit score is having a favorable debt to credit ratio. This ranges anywhere from 20%-35% depending on... More...
